Position Overview:

Banyan Nation is seeking a motivated and experienced Polymer Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts for recycled PE and PP products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of polymer sales, including market trends and customer needs, and will be instrumental in driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence. This role requires exceptional sales skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for recycled PE and PP products. Identify new business opportunities, including potential clients and market segments, and execute plans to capture them.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including manufacturers, distributors, and retailers. Understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer demands. Utilize this information to refine sales strategies and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Product Knowledge: Gain a deep understanding of Banyan Nation’s recycled PE and PP products, including their applications, benefits, and differentiators. Use this knowledge to effectively communicate product value to clients and address their specific needs.
  • Sales Support & Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to align sales efforts with marketing campaigns and product innovations. Provide feedback on market trends and customer preferences to inform product development and promotional activities.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track sales performance metrics, including revenue, customer acquisition, and market share. Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Negotiation & Contracts: Lead negotiations with clients to secure contracts and agreements. Ensure that terms and conditions align with company policies and objectives while meeting client requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related field. An advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the polymer, plastics, or recycling industries. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of applications of PE and PP polymers, including recycled grades, applications, and market trends. Familiarity with sustainability practices and circular economy principles is advantageous.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
